About the Attorney

Ms. Romanova is a tenacious and compassionate attorney, known for her laser-focused strategic approach that she thoughtfully tailors to the specific issues, personalities, and circumstances of each matter. She has been practicing law for 15 years.

There is no higher professional calling than to serve as a competent, dedicated guide for the client helping to navigate through a fog of unfamiliar concepts, confusing rules, complicated relationships, and often intimidating actions of the other party. The attorney must be part of the solution to preserve relationships and hard-earned savings for a healthy future for the client, the family unit and, above all, the children.

In accordance with those principles, Ms. Romanova represents clients in family and matrimonial matters including mediation, divorce, custody, relocation, child support, alimony, college contribution, equitable distribution, post-judgment applications, enforcement applications, prenuptial agreements, and other related issues.

Her practice is devoted exclusively to matrimonial and family law, and she is a Qualified Family Part Mediator under Rule 1:40-12.

A former law clerk to the Honorable Fred H. Kumpf (Recall J.S.C.), Margarita previously worked for the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. Before dedicating her practice exclusively to matrimonial and family law, she was a litigation attorney at a respected New Jersey general practice law firm.

Ms. Romanova attended the University of Rochester and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and French Literature. She spent her college years studying global challenges and various philosophies, analytical approaches, and conflict-resolution techniques to address those challenges. She also indulged in her love for French literature, which organically resulted in her earning another degree. Ms. Romanova is fluent in Russian and works with Russian-speaking clients regularly.
